01 The short version
Ad Advance is the closest thing to a clean pass on our Amazon PPC list. Retail media is the entire business — Amazon and Walmart, nothing else — and unlike most firms that call themselves specialists, their credentials are independently verifiable rather than self-declared. They're an Amazon Ads Advanced Partner, a 2023 Amazon Ads Partner Award winner, and a four-time Inc. 5000 honoree, founded in Duluth, Minnesota in 2016.
Their approach pairs human account management with proprietary software: their Streamline platform turns Amazon campaign data into automated optimization, and they run full DSP alongside the standard Sponsored ad types. The one thing missing from the public record is pricing — no rate or model is published — which is the single reason to expect a sales call before you know the number.
In February 2026, Ad Advance was acquired by Podean, a global marketplace agency, and now operates as "Ad Advance, powered by Podean." Both founders stayed on and joined Podean's leadership team as EVPs of Product and Development. The combined group runs 260-plus staff across 17 countries. The company says client teams and day-to-day support are unchanged, but if you're evaluating them now, this is worth raising on a call — you're hiring a firm mid-integration into a larger global group, with the wider resources and the transition risk that both imply.
02 The basics
Firm-level facts, confirmed from public record.
03 Desk checks: 10 of 10
Everything we could confirm from public record — Amazon's own partner directory, their site, their case studies, and third-party reviews.
04 What we verified
Each claim carries an evidence label: verified from public record, stated by the agency, or pending an interview.
05 Who it's for
Strong fit
- Brands wanting a verified specialist, not a generalist with an Amazon page
- Sellers who want DSP run alongside Sponsored ads under one roof
- Multi-market brands — they advertise across 17 markets
- Anyone who values software-assisted bidding with human oversight
Look elsewhere if
- You need to compare pricing before booking a sales call
- You're a very small seller wanting a self-serve tool
- You want a single senior freelancer rather than an agency team
06 Our take
Of the eight firms I researched for the Amazon PPC list, Ad Advance is the one where the evidence and the marketing actually line up. Plenty of agencies call themselves Amazon specialists. Far fewer hold an Advanced Partner tier on Amazon's own directory and a Partner Award to go with it, and fewer still keep the whole team in-house rather than quietly offshoring the work.
The Streamline platform is the part I'd want to pressure-test. Proprietary optimization software is a real edge when it's done well, but it's also the easiest thing in this industry to overstate. I've marked it as stated, not verified, and it's the first thing I'd dig into on a call. The bigger question now is the Podean acquisition: the founders say nothing changes day-to-day, and that's usually true at first, but integrations have a way of reshaping teams over a year or two.
The only genuine gap is pricing. Nothing is published, so you're going into a sales conversation blind on cost. That's common at this tier and not disqualifying, but it's the reason they're desk-verified rather than fully reference-checked, and it's why the interview matters before I'd call this a complete profile.
Desk research completed July 2026. Interview and client reference calls pending.
